Up until the end of the 1959/1960 Season, Preston also wore blue and yellow. You’ll notice in Sky Lounge we have three caps from the 1950’s, reflecting the colours, with the ‘Baggy Red’ formerly being a ‘Baggy Blue’ with a yellow PCC.
At the commencement of the 1960-1961 Season, Preston altered its colours to Red and White, which were also the colours worn by the Preston Football Club (now the Northern Blues Football Club).
Preston’s one day playing shirt has a small bar of yellow and blue on each sleeve. It is there to honour the old colours of blue and yellow worn by the club during its first 100 years.
